wedding fun

its been a month and a bit. what you ask? the day i "wedded" my husband. this last year has been little to no scrapbooking but plenty of crafts galour using many of my scrapping skills! :)

it has been a year of making table numbers from the cricut, doing table charts with mounted backs, making invitations, banners, and yes i have even made the thank you cards!

this i can honestly say was probably the best part of the wedding prep. what can i say, i am a girl who loves crafting. that, verses being on a phone for hours, price shopping, interviewing people, consultations. YUCK! give me some tape, paper, and my cricut AND i am a happy girl! he he he.

take a look at what i have been up to (it may not be much, but remember i am still in school!).

first up is the card box i made. thought about buying one but they just seemed a little pricey for a one time event so i just got a box, wrapped it in tissue paper with a little embellishment and ribbon and cut a hole in the center. there you have it!

this was something that i had way too much fun doing. i had bought three chipboard albums last year as i had previously experimented with them and loved them. this was one of the little gifts that we got our bridesmaids. i hope they loved them as much as i made them!

personally i am not a card maker at all, but i thought this was a way to save a little money and incorporate our wedding colours. i borrowed a stamp from one of my "stamper" friends (thanks jeaninne) and made this pretty simple design. now to start the writing!

this idea i stole from this site right here. such a brilliant idea. as i did not want to find the little stands i compromised and put the her and him side on both sides and folded it in the shape of a card. this was later taken to my cousin's wedding. so thanks so much!

candy bags. yum. since our favours was to loot up on candy i wanted to get the penny bags that i remember as a kid. that was a chore in itself but i finally found a huge quantity at grocery people for 5$. then i just hole punched the circles and got a template design off the internet and our bags were complete. it may have not been the brightest of my ideas to hand write all of them, but hey, its personal right?? ;)

this was relatively easy as the cricut just cut away all the numbers and i taped them to skewer sticks.

not the greatest pic of this but i really wanted something in remembrance of the truly special people who would have loved to be there but had passed away. scrapbooked away!

my banners that i loved loved loved. got the letter design from martha stewart weddings website. then my friend, anita went to work with the cricut and cut out the shapes and meshed the colours. i love them!

my marvelous aunt beth went to town gluing all the numbers and mounting this together. our seating plan. so glad to have a fellow scrapper do this!

lastly the grass! he he he. this may have caused some bridezilla moments near the day before the wedding as the grass just didn't grow to my liking. but look at it on the day of the wedding. crazy! stuck two gerberas in there and our centerpieces were complete. simple and pretty.

now to make a wedding album! he he. or maybe just start scrapbooking our honeymoon!

love
